A Campaign to Help Kids

This is my sixth year participating in Extra Life to support Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation here in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Extra Life is a 24 hour gaming marathon that started in 2008 to raise funds to help Victoria Enmon, a young girl battling leukemia. Unfortunately Victoria lost her battle, but since it's inception Extra Life has grown into a multi-national organization partnering with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to raise funds for Children's Hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.

The first year that I participated, 2014, was the same year that ground was broken to build the first Children's Hospital in the province of Saskatchewan. Construction on that hospital is nearing completion and later this year the hospital will open!

I first got involved after a close friend of mine had twins. One of the twins had health problems early in life and had to travel about 5 hours away to the nearest Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Thankfully that child is now doing well, but I wanted to continue helping other children in this province get the help they need without having to travel great distances.

If you would like to help me in my support for Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation please follow this link, or better yet sign up for Extra Life yourself and begin helping your local children's hospital!

Thank you.
